So that they may bear their burdens fully on the Day of Judgment and some of the burdens of those whom they had misguided without knowledge; know that what an evil they are bearing.
The attitude of arrogant leaders among Meccan pagans is described in this verse. Today, the true disbelievers mentioned in verses 4: 150-151 are hiding and rejecting Adhikr-the Speech of Lord. They are following the Fujjar books written by the hypocrites and pseudo-prophets as explained in verse 2: 79. They are giving false hope to their followers by saying that if you follow them, they will bear their burden on the Day of Judgment as explained in verse 4: 85. By obstructing the followers from Adhikr, these soulless and worthless transgressors will bear their burden as well as the burden of those whom they misled and will enter the bottom of Fire as explained in verses 6: 25-26. On the Day of Judgment, the Arabic Quran reading Fujjar who neglected Adhikr will have to bear the burden of every difficulty faced by the 1000 communities of Lord’s creatures as told in verses 20: 99-100. See explanation 4: 140; 6: 31; 8: 32 and 9: 67-68.
