Don’t extend your eyes toward those disbelievers whom We have given enjoyment in pairs, and you don’t grieve over them, and incline your wings to the believers.
It is told in verse 20: 131: “And you don’t extend your eyes toward those disbelievers whom We have given worldly enjoyments in pairs, such that We test them in it. And the Best Food of your Lord is better and more enduring”. It is commanded to Messenger and believer through verses 26: 214-215: “And you warn your closest relatives. And incline your wings to those who follow you from the believers”. It is told in verses 16: 127-128: “And if you are reacting, then you react in a manner that they have acted upon you; and if you are keeping patience, verily that is better for those who keep patience. And you keep patience, and your patience is from nowhere except Lord, and you don’t grieve upon them. And you don’t distress for whatever they are plotting. Indeed, Lord is with those who are heedful and with those who are living under the Light of the Best Book Adhikr”. See explanation 3: 196-197; 6: 52 and 9: 84-85.
