(Yoosuf) 12 : 8
إِذْ قَالُوا لَيُوسُفُ وَأَخُوهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَىٰ أَبِينَا مِنَّا وَنَحْنُ عُصْبَةٌ إِنَّ أَبَانَا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ
When they said: "Yoosuf and his brother are more beloved to our father than us, even though we are a mighty clan; indeed our father is in a manifest astray".
Yoosuf's brother mentioned in this verse is Binyamin. By the birth of Binyamin, their mother died. So Yaqoob took more care of Yoosuf and Binyamin than others. Moreover, Yaqoob observed some special qualities and honorable characters in Yoosuf.
