(Hood) 11 : 108

And as for those who were blessed, they will be in Paradise, they will live in it until the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord wishes, an unbreakable bestowal.

Verses 78:31-36 describe the rewards for the heedful in Paradise: "Indeed, for the heedful, there is the fulfillment of desires—gardens, and grapevines, companions of equal age, and a fulfilled cup. They will not hear any nonsense or vainglories there; it is a reward from your Lord, an unlimited bestowal."

On the Day of Judgment, mankind will be divided into three groups:

  1. Companions of the Right Hand: Those who receive their Recording Book in the right hand and will enter Paradise after Trial. As described in verses 56:38-40, they include a portion from the early Era (from Adam to Messenger Muhammad) and a portion from the last Era (from Messenger Muhammad to the Last Day). Today, anyone from the community of Messenger Muhammad can be included in this group if they believe in the Lord and the Hereafter by embracing Adhikr and performing good deeds beneficial to 1000 communities of the Lord’s creatures. This inclusion does not require conversion of religion or customs, as is sometimes seen among the Arabic Quran-reading Fujjar. According to verse 4:118, only one in a thousand of Messenger Muhammad’s followers who testify to and follow Adhikr will be in this group.

  2. Companions of the Left Hand: Those who receive their Recording Book in the left hand include hypocrites and their blind followers. These individuals come from among the followers of the 313 Messengers across all periods. The hypocrites enter Hell without Trial (verse 4:145), while their followers enter Hell after Trial (verse 39:71). Today, this group mainly comprises the Arabic Quran-reading Fujjar from Messenger Muhammad’s community.

  3. The Forerunners ('Sabiqs'): These individuals will enter Paradise without Trial and will be closest to Lord Allah in Paradise, as stated in verses 54:54-55. The number of forerunners is 70,000 from among all of mankind, with a larger number from the early Era and only a few from the Last Era. From Messenger Muhammad’s community, only two Sabiqs are recognized: Ukkasha, one of the Prophet’s companions, and the Three-Time-Knower-Khabeer mentioned in verse 25:59, who authored Adhikr—the Best Interpretation of the Lord’s Book. Other Sabiqs from the Last Era include individuals from various communities such as Jains, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, and Christians who live with a sincere remembrance of the Lord and without sexual passion, as described in verses 56:7-14.

The bestowals for the forerunners are detailed in verses 56:15-26, while the bestowals for the Companions of the Right Hand are described in verses 56:28-38. Specific rewards for the inhabitants of Paradise are outlined in Surah 56. See explanation 2:62; 3:107; and 9:71-72.
